NEW SALVATION ARMY OFFICERS ARRIVE IN SALT LAKE CITY

The Salvation Army in Salt Lake City is pleased to welcome new leaders, Majors Keith and Robin Bottjen as new Corps Officers. They assumed their position on July 1, 2025, and are looking forward to getting to know the community and furthering the ministry of The Salvation Army.
Salvation Army officers are periodically transferred to different locations every three to five years. Majors Bottjen are enthusiastic and dynamic leaders who came to Salt Lake City from Phoenix Arizona, where they were responsible for the programs and services of the Phoenix Salvation Army.
They have devoted the past 30 years of their lives to serving as Salvation Army officers in various capacities, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to the organization. Throughout their journey, they have served in diverse locations such as Victorville CA, San Diego CA, Rancho Palos Verdes CA, El Paso Texas, Tempe AZ, Riverside CA, Sacremento CA, Phoenix AZ, and now Salt Lake City.... BACK–TO–SCHOOL BASH OFFERS BACKPACKS TO WESTSIDE CHILDREN
The Salvation Army hosted a “Back-To-School Bash” for students and parents at Edison Elementary School in Salt Lake City. The event provided 480 elementary school children in need with backpacks full of donated school supplies and a pizza dinner....(READ MORE)

SECURITY SERVICES FEDERAL CREDIT UNION DONATES $9,029 FOR BACKPACKS

A big thank you to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers - Utah Electrical Training Alliance and iHeart Media for their generous $2,000 donation to the Back-To-School Bash. ROCKY MOUNTAIN POWER ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
The HEAT Program provides year-round energy assistance for eligible low income households. The program year begins October 1st and ends the following September 30th of each year or when federal LIHEAP funds are exhausted.
