The Salvation Army of Salt Lake Celebrates the 85th Anniversary of National Donut Day
Donut Day is a tradition to celebrate the work of the original Donut Lassies by delivering donuts and emotional and spiritual care to soldiers’ on the front lines during World War I. On June 2, The Salvation Army of Salt Lake City provided complementary donuts to first responders at the Salt Lake County EOC, Veterans Hospital and the William Christopherson Veterans Home. Donuts were generously provided by Dunford Donuts and Smith’s Food & Drug Stores.
